Service Description
Every Tuesday 4 - 5pm from 2nd June - 14th July 2026 For children aged 7 - 11 years old Step into a world of imagination and become a creature designer! In this seven-week art club, young artists will dream up their very own mythical creature, from the first spark of an idea right through to a finished sculpture they can proudly take home. We’ll begin by exploring ideas and sketching designs, thinking about where their creature lives, what it eats, and what makes it unique. Is it a flying fox with glowing wings? A deep-sea beast with shimmering scales? Or something no one has ever seen before? Using foil to build a strong structure, children will then bring their designs to life as a three-dimensional sculpture, carefully shaping and covering their creature with air-dry clay. As the weeks progress, they’ll refine details, add texture and character, and finally paint and decorate their piece to make it truly one of a kind. Along the way, they’ll develop confidence in their creativity, learn new sculpting and painting techniques, and enjoy the process of working on a larger project over time. Each artist will finish the course with a completed mythical creature sculpture and a story to go with it.

Cancellation Policy
All workshop bookings at Sage and Salt Studio are non-refundable. If you need to cancel your place more than 90 days before the workshop date, we are happy to transfer your booking to another workshop of your choice (subject to availability). If you cancel within 90 days of the workshop, we cannot transfer your booking. However, you are very welcome to send someone else in your place. This must be arranged by you, and we kindly ask that you let us know the name of the person attending. In the case of a fully booked workshop with a waiting list, we will do our best to resell your place. If we are able to do so, we can transfer your booking to another workshop of your choice. We hope you understand that our tutors and team put a lot of work into preparing for workshops and, once booked, your place is held just for you.
