Wednesday 22nd July 10am - 2pm A maximum of 12 participants Important: Please note that you will need to bring your own materials for this workshop. Please see basic materials list below. A full list of materials with advice will be sent to you upon booking. Spend a relaxed and inspiring day capturing the beauty of the sea in paint, guided by artist Louise Turpin. Whether you’re completely new to painting or looking to build on existing skills, this workshop offers a supportive and enjoyable space to explore seascapes in either acrylics or oils. Louise will guide you through the fundamentals of colour mixing, brush techniques and composition, helping you to recreate the movement, light and atmosphere of the coastline. You’ll begin with a series of simple exercises to build confidence and loosen up your approach, before moving on to a more developed seascape painting in the afternoon. You’re welcome to bring along your own reference photos, perhaps from a favourite coastal walk or holiday, to make your final piece feel personal and meaningful. With plenty of one-to-one guidance throughout the day, this workshop is all about learning at your own pace, experimenting with materials and enjoying the process of painting. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with your own finished seascape and a set of skills and techniques you can continue to build on at home. All levels welcome. Materials needed: - Acrylic or oil paints: Cadmium Red, Cadmium Yellow (or Lemon Yellow), Ultramarine Blue (or Prussian/Cobalt Blue), and Titanium White - Canvas, board or suitable painting paper - A selection of paint brushes - Palette (or a stay-wet palette for acrylics) - Water pot (for acrylics) - Table top easel (optional) - Rags or wipes - Reference photos (optional) - Lunch Hot and soft drinks are provided

Cancellation Policy
All workshop bookings at Sage and Salt Studio are non-refundable. If you need to cancel your place more than 90 days before the workshop date, we are happy to transfer your booking to another workshop of your choice (subject to availability). If you cancel within 90 days of the workshop, we cannot transfer your booking. However, you are very welcome to send someone else in your place. This must be arranged by you, and we kindly ask that you let us know the name of the person attending. In the case of a fully booked workshop with a waiting list, we will do our best to resell your place. If we are able to do so, we can transfer your booking to another workshop of your choice. We hope you understand that our tutors and team put a lot of work into preparing for workshops and, once booked, your place is held just for you.
