Service Description
A brand new 4 week course, equipping you with a solid foundation to paint portraits, florals, landscapes and animals. This is an in-person course. It will run on Fridays 10.30-1.30 pm, on 5/6, 12/6, 19/6, and 26/6. All materials, tuition and refreshments will be provided. Plus a BONUS outdoor painting session week at the end, weather permitting. There will be an optional private Facebook group to post your homework paintings made during the course and for asking questions and feedback. An understanding of basic skills and techniques of watercolour is necessary for this course. Prior to starting, you will be emailed a list of the basic techniques to brush up on. In this course, we will cover: Session 1 PORTRAITS Colour palette for skin tones Ways to achieve a great sketch Painting eyes and other useful techniques Backgrounds Painting a portrait Session 2 ANIMALS Painting different kinds and colours of fur Backgrounds Focus on the eye Choosing the right colours and composition Painting an animal/pet Session 3 LANDSCAPES Composition Brush strokes Different stages of painting Planning edges Painting a Lake District scene Session 4 FLORALS Using the right colours Getting the sketch right Different brush strokes Painting a still life Session 5 BONUS week Plein Air painting - weather permitting

Cancellation Policy
All workshop bookings at Sage and Salt Studio are non-refundable. If you need to cancel your place more than 90 days before the workshop date, we are happy to transfer your booking to another workshop of your choice (subject to availability). If you cancel within 90 days of the workshop, we cannot transfer your booking. However, you are very welcome to send someone else in your place. This must be arranged by you, and we kindly ask that you let us know the name of the person attending. In the case of a fully booked workshop with a waiting list, we will do our best to resell your place. If we are able to do so, we can transfer your booking to another workshop of your choice. We hope you understand that our tutors and team put a lot of work into preparing for workshops and, once booked, your place is held just for you.
