“Porthole” is a circular mosaic inspired by the feeling of peering out to sea. Made entirely from blue and white seaglass, sea pottery and shells gathered from our local beaches, it has a lovely nautical palette that instantly brings the coast to mind. The mix of tones and textures gives the piece a gentle tide-washed look, almost like sunlight catching the water through a ship’s porthole.
 
Each fragment has been shaped naturally by the sea so the finished artwork has that charming, weathered quality beach lovers adore. Every piece is unique which makes this little window to the shoreline one of a kind.
 
The mosaic is presented in an eight inch solid wood white shadow box frame with a mount. The depth of the frame adds a soft shadow that sets the circular design off beautifully and the glass front gives it a crisp, high quality finish.
