This ten inch artwork features a charming coastal sailing boat created from a mix of natural beachcombed treasures. The boat itself is crafted from driftwood, shaped and smoothed by the tide. One sail is made from a patchwork of seaglass and sea pottery while the other is formed from delicate shells which gives the piece a lovely balance of texture and colour. All materials have been gathered from our local beaches so every fragment carries its own bit of shoreline character.
 
The combination of driftwood and mixed sails makes the boat feel full of movement, almost as if it is catching a gentle sea breeze. It is a lovely statement piece for anyone who loves the coast, sailing or unique handcrafted art.
