Saturday 1st June 10am - 1pm.

If you've ever wanted to learn to weave, but never had the opportunity; just want to meet new like minded people, or have fun times with friends, then please join Amy's Beginners Hand Weaving workshop to learn the basics of weaving, by weaving a wall-hanging in her three hour workshop!

Using Amy's unique handmade framed looms you will set up your first warp and learn basic, contemporary tapestry weaving and classic hand-weaving techniques including fringing rya knots, plain tabby weave, soumak, and rya loops. You will then experiment with a variety of wools and natural materials to create different textures from the selection provided in your chosen colour palette, to weave your own personal wall hanging that you can take home. Amy will demonstrate how to tidy up your loose ends, insert your piece of chosen driftwood and remove your wall-hanging from your loom.

This workshop is designed for adults. Children aged 10+ old must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Sessions are non-refundable. A minimum of 6 participants are needed for this workshop to run.

Please note the toilet is upstairs.
Parking is available at Swan Street Car Park, GU32 3EW. RingGo available.
