My Happy Place Open Call Exhibition
Terms & Conditions
1. Overview
“My Happy Place” is an open call exhibition hosted by Sage and Salt Studio. This opportunity is open to everyone, regardless of experience level.
Participants are invited to create a piece of artwork on a provided MDF board, to be exhibited and offered for sale as part of a collective display.
2. Board Purchase

MDF boards (20cm x 20cm) must be purchased directly from Sage and Salt Studio.

Price: £10 per board or 3 boards for £25
-
Children (under 18): £5 per board
-
Maximum of 3 boards per person
-
Boards are limited and will be sold on a first come, first served basis.
Total boards available: 144
-
Adults (18+): 96 boards
-
Children: 48 boards (16 per age category)
-
Sales open: 8th April
-
Final purchase date: 22nd May (or earlier if sold out)
Each board will be numbered on the reverse and assigned to the participant at the time of purchase.
Boards are non-refundable and non-transferable.
3. Categories
Entries will be grouped into the following categories:

Under 10s
-
Ages 10–15
-
Ages 16–17
-
Adults (18+)
Participants must enter the correct category based on age at the time of submission.
4. Theme & Artwork Guidelines

Theme: My Happy Place
-
Participants may interpret the theme in any way they choose.
-
Any medium may be used, provided it is suitable for display.
-
Artwork must be created on the provided board only.
-
The board must not be altered in size or shape.
-
Artwork must be original and created by the participant.
Important:
-
No wet, fragile, or loose materials (e.g. anything that may drip, shed, or detach).
-
Artwork must be fully dry at the point of delivery.
-
Work must be suitable for hanging and able to sit flat against the wall.
Sage and Salt Studio reserves the right to refuse any work deemed offensive, unsafe, or not suitable for display.
5. Submission of Work
Completed artwork must be delivered to Sage and Salt Studio on one of the following dates:

Friday 5th June
-
Saturday 6th June
Work must be delivered during opening hours - 9am - 5pm.
Any work not delivered by the deadline will not be included in the exhibition.
6. Exhibition Details

Exhibition dates: Friday 12th June – Friday 26th June
-
All artworks will be displayed as part of a group exhibition.
7. Pricing & Sales
-
All artworks will be sold at a fixed price of £50.
-
Sage and Salt Studio will take a commission of 15% on all sales.
-
The remaining amount will be paid to the artist.
Payments for sold work will be made within 5 days following the end of June.
Buyers will collect purchased artwork after the exhibition has ended.
8. Prizes
Prizes will be awarded as follows:

Adults (18+):

£100 People’s Choice Award, determined by public vote

Children’s Categories:

One prize per category (Under 10s, Ages 10–15, Ages 16–17)

Prizes will consist of an art kit

Further details of voting and prize distribution will be shared during the exhibition.
9. Collection of Unsold Work
Unsold artwork must be collected on:
-
Saturday 27th June
-
Between 9:00am and 12:00pm
If you are unable to collect in person, you must arrange for someone else to collect on your behalf.
Due to limited storage space, Sage and Salt Studio cannot store uncollected work beyond this time. Any work not collected may be disposed of.
10. Liability
While all reasonable care will be taken, Sage and Salt Studio accepts no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to artwork at any stage.
Participants submit work at their own risk.
11. Photography & Promotion
By entering, participants agree that images of their work may be used by Sage and Salt Studio for marketing, promotional and social media purposes.
12. Agreement to Terms
By purchasing a board and entering the exhibition, participants agree to these Terms & Conditions in full.
